Overview
Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from Calgary, Canmore, Banff, or Lake Louise Village. As we head into the heart of the Rockies, your professional guide will share the history and geology behind the dramatic landscapes of Castle Mountain and the Bow Valley.
-
Lake Louise & Moraine Lake: We start strong with the two most famous lakes in Canada. Marvel at the Victoria Glacier hanging above Lake Louise and enjoy a walk along the shore. Next, we visit Moraine Lake (accessible from June to October 12), where the vivid blue water and the backdrop of the Ten Peaks offer the most photographed view in the country. Note: During the winter season, we replace this stop with a visit to Bow Lake, where you can also explore stunning Crowfoot Glacier and Bow Glacier Falls.
-
The Icefields Parkway & Peyto Lake: After a break for lunch at Lake Louise Village, we travel up the world-renowned Icefields Parkway. A short, accessible walk leads us to the viewpoint of Peyto Lake. Known for its unique shape (resembling a wolf’s head) and its surreal neon-blue color, it is often the highlight of the day.
-
The Continental Divide & Yoho National Park: Crossing into British Columbia, we enter Yoho National Park to visit Emerald Lake. Named for its deep green hue, it offers a serene atmosphere surrounded by dense forest. Nearby, we stop at the Natural Bridge, a powerful rock formation carved by the Kicking Horse River.
Throughout the 10-hour journey, you’ll have plenty of time for photos, good balance of guided walks and self exploration, and spotting local wildlife like elk, bears, or mountain goats.
